On September 24, 2026, leaders, colleagues, family, and friends gathered in Clearwater, Florida, to mark the founding of Shepherds of Capital.
The evening was built around one question.

The question of the evening
Guests from business, finance, education, and civic life considered how capital decisions shape far more than financial results. They shape people, organizations, communities, and the systems we all depend on.
The evening introduced Shepherds of Capital Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity that helps people make money decisions they can stand behind at home, at work, and in their communities. That work is carried out through the Fellowship, Founders Gatherings, and talks and writings.
Founder Heather A. Desjardins spoke about The Weight of Capital and the ideas behind it. The evening also named the three Core Values that guide the work.
